Rapid is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work in a balanced environment of Design, Product Development, and direct correspondence with end-users. Skills/Requirements:
  • Participate with sales team to develop solutions, assist in bid and sales drawings/layout, and develop unique, out-of-the box ideas for material handling solutions. 
  • Develop build drawings, work closely with fabrication shop on projects, validate customer wants and needs, maintain records and project storage in an efficient manner.
  • Develop or improve upon existing products, systems, and methods. 
  • Take charge of installation of components and/or equipment by implementing products where engineering support is required. 
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, tests and measurement tools. 
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD required. 
  • Solid Works and Inventor is preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in either automotive, appliance, or industrial conveyors preferred. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
